The last picture of me - February 17th 2005

February 16th 2005
Time 11pm

First of all, I want to thank Rachel for this page, then I would like to thank EVERYONE that has been there for me over the years. No need to give names; cause you all know who you are.........

Without my Brother in Germany and my English friends - "more" a family, cause that's how I think of you all - I don't think I could have made it over the years. As you all know my real family turned their backs on me when I needed them there.

For this there aren't enough words to tell you how I feel; just know that I love you and one day we will all be together again.....

I don't want this to be a sad time for y'all. I would like all of you to smile, knowing that I am out of this Hell called Death Row.....

Any time any of you need me, all y'all have to do is look into your hearts and I'll always be there for you!!

If any of you ever get time to get together in my name - PLEASE do, cause I'll be there with y'all. Never pass the chance up to look to your left and tell the person there to smile.....

All my love to you all, and never doubt that you all made my life SOOOOO much happier!!

With love always,
Dennis xoxox

Dennis' Last Statement (From TDCJ):

Yes sir, can you hear me? To you Irene, Thank You. I love you all. All right Warden, I'm ready.

NB: Karl, who was there as a witness, thinks he heard some different words; in which Dennis expressed more love for other people.

If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
There's too many places I haven't seen
And if I stayed here with you, now
Things just wouldn't be the same
Well I'm as free as a bird now,
And a bird you can not change.
